Taco Bell is rolling out two new menu items: a limited-time Crispy Chicken Crunchwrap Slider and a permanent Cantina Chicken Rolled Quesadilla. The changes come as the chain looks to boost sales by offering both novelty and increased value.
Limited-Time Crunchwrap Slider
The Crispy Chicken Crunchwrap Slider combines Taco Bell’s signature Crunchwrap with crispy chicken nuggets. Available starting March 19, the slider features tortilla chip-breaded chicken, three cheeses, pico de gallo, and a choice of Creamy Chipotle or Jalapeno Honey Mustard sauce, all wrapped in a flour tortilla. The snack is priced starting at $2.49, or as part of a $9 Discovery Luxe Cravings Box that includes other Taco Bell favorites like the Cheesy Gordita Crunch and Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos Tacos.
Permanent Quesadilla Upgrade
Alongside the limited release, Taco Bell is adding the Cantina Chicken Rolled Quesadilla to its permanent menu. This updated version offers twice the chicken of the original Cantina Chicken Quesadilla, and is rolled for easier portability. The new quesadilla is priced at $6.69.
Consumer Reaction
The announcement has generated excitement among Taco Bell fans, with social media users expressing enthusiasm for both items. The slider’s temporary availability and low price point are expected to drive short-term traffic, while the improved quesadilla aims to retain customers with a more substantial offering.
Taco Bell’s move reflects a broader trend in fast food: brands are increasingly focused on limited-time offers to create buzz and encourage repeat visits, while also refining core menu items to improve customer satisfaction. The company’s responsiveness to consumer demand, as demonstrated by the quesadilla upgrade, suggests a strategy of balancing innovation with proven favorites.
